This week, Hal Lindsey Presents comes to the final episode of our series, "The Coming of the Last World Superpower." You don't want to miss it.

If you want to understand where we are on God's prophecy calendar, look at what's going on in Israel. On this week's program, we will go to Ezekiel 36. That chapter will help you understand what's happening right now in the Middle East, including the Muslim world's obsession with Jerusalem.

According to Zechariah 12:3, God will eventually "make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it." We can already see Jerusalem as a crisis point for the nations of earth.

Through His prophets, starting with Moses, God promised to scatter the Children of Israel all over the world for their disobedience. But in Ezekiel 36 and many other places in scripture, He also promised to bring them back to the Promised Land. Ezekiel 36:24 says, "For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands, and bring you into your own land."

That process began slowly in the mid-19th century. Then, in the 20th century came the holocaust. That event became the major catalyst of the massive influx of Jews into Israel from all over the world. In 1948, against all odds, Israel became a state. They won war after war, also against all odds. Today we clearly see that Israel is a miracle, but an unfinished one.
