"The Coming of the Last World Superpower" on Hal Lindsey Presents will soon conclude. Our last episode in the series is scheduled for December 6th. I hope you can join me as we come to the climactic parts of this astounding story.
This week we will look at the answer to a question thoughtful people have posed for thousands of years. Why does antisemitism persist? In every generation, we find vast numbers of people who hold an unreasoning, unwavering hatred for Jews. Bigotry against Jews flourishes even in highly advanced civilizations. On this week's Hal Lindsey Presents, we will examine the spiritual reality underlying this hatred.
This is a riveting study because, while the topic is thousands of years old, it continues today. From Haman to Hitler to the Ayatollah, Satan uses every means available in his ongoing bid to destroy Israel and the Jews. He is trying right now, but his efforts remain futile.
On December 13th, we will begin a new series - this one on the Gospel of John. I'm especially excited about this. John is my favorite book. It was while reading it that I came to faith in Jesus.
It would be hard to imagine a better way to celebrate Christmas than to look into the first chapter of John's Gospel. I love the Christmas story as related in Matthew with the wise men and glorious star shining forth in the night sky. I also love the details given by Luke with the shepherds watching their flocks at night and angel choirs giving them the news of Christ's birth.
But the Gospel of John tells the Christmas story in a way never exceeded. Studying it will stir you up and build your faith. It will give you an understanding of God and His ways like no other study. As we close 2020 and move into 2021, it feels like the perfect time to relish the Gospel story in this most magnificent of books.
