There are some new animated doodles on Google for Valentine's Day. So far, I've seen three of them.

The first doodle has a cactus (I think that's what it is) sitting on a park bench reading a book. A second cactus (a potted plant) floats down with a heart-shaped balloon and offers the balloon to the first cactus. Then the first cactus drops his book, jumps up, and runs over to the second cactus and hugs it.

In the next doodle, the second "O" in "GOOGLE" is a large red heart. Inside the heart, a box of tissues gives a box of candy to a roll of toilet paper (I think that's what it is). For some reason, this kind gesture makes the toilet paper roll cry, so it takes a tissue out of the box and blows its nose.

In another doodle, a coffee pot gives a rose to a teapot, which causes the teapot to blush (turn red).

Hopefully, these three doodles will keep changing throughout the day.

I just love these doodles. My compliments to the people who create them.

There's a new animated doodle on Google today to celebrate leap year.

Two rabbits (one labeled "28," and the other labeled "1") are sleeping. Then Rabbit "29" comes down from the right side of the screen, jumps between the other two rabbits, nudges them apart, and also falls asleep.

There's a new animated cartoon on Google today to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

The "l" in "Google" turns into a shamrock (clover), jumps up, does some acrobatic moves and a jig (Irish dance) on the other letters, then dives back down into his regular space and turns back into the letter "l"--very cute!

There's a new animated cartoon on Google (www.google.com) today to celebrate the first day of spring.

In the cartoon are a bunch of rocks (I think) which represent the letters in "Google." Soon, the "l" sprouts leaves, making the other letters happy. Then the small "e" blows the leaves off the "tree," which makes the other letters sad while the "e" looks guilty.

There's a new animated cartoon on Google (http://www.google.com) today to celebrate "Teacher's Day."

It shows a bunch of pencils--different sizes--jogging while reading, wearing glasses, etc. The smallest one, at the end of the line, has to run to keep up with the rest of them.

There's a new animated cartoon on Google (www.google.com) today to celebrate the 102nd birthday of Frankie Manning. In it, two of the Google letters (the o's) are dancing.

According to Wikipedia, Frankie Manning was a dancer, instructor, and choreographer (and one of the founding fathers of the Lindy Hop).

There's a new cartoon on Google today to celebrate Lottie Reinger's 117th birthday. To watch it, go to http://www.google.com and click on ">" to play the video. You can learn about Lottie (a silhouette animator) by reading the text below the video.

You may also want to click on "Watch how today's doodle was made," which is the link underneath the doodle. It shows Google's creative team in action. (Here's the YouTube link, for after the doodle disappears: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK1P6RGs ... e=youtu.be.)

There's a new animated cartoon on Google (http://www.google.com) today to celebrate Phoebe Snetsinger's 85th birthday. In it, the "Google" letters are bird houses and parts of trees, and there are birds in each one. In the letter "g," the mother bird is feeding her babies a worm. On the right side of the screen, there's also a man with binoculars who is watching the birds and making notes of what he sees.

Note: Phoebe was a bird-watcher (also known as a "birder").

There's a new (non-animated) cartoon on Google (www.google.com) today to celebrate Father's Day. In it, tiny red-and-white tennis shoes are on a fringed rug next to large brown dress shoes. The openings in the father's shoes form the "o's" in "Google," which is written across the rug.

There's another cute (non-animated) cartoon on Google (www.google.com) today. All of the stars on the American flag are having a get-together (picnic, etc.) to celebrate the Fourth of July.
